IPMonitor is the first line of defence against downtime for your critical TCP/IP networks and business solutions. With forty-two protocol and transaction level monitors IPMonitor provides unequaled monitoring, alerting, recovery and reporting abilities.

    IPMonitor transacts at the lowest protocol level to measure responsiveness, status codes and availability. If a resource fails to respond correctly, IPMonitor notifies scheduled administrators and can initiate recovery procedures. Forty-two different monitor types make it possible to monitor almost anything. This includes standard IP protocols for Internet and Intranet resources.

    IPMonitor works by probing applications, services and devices at the protocol or transaction level in order to validate their response. In the event of a failure or degradation of service, an alert is flagged. If subsequent tests fail, an alert is triggered. Alert methods include escalated or ordered alerting, which makes it possible to share responsibilities among many administrators who have different levels of responsibility within your organization.

    IPMonitor alerts can be used to initiate automatic recovery in order to restart failed applications, services, reboot machines, initiate recovery scripts and start external applications.
