Data Centre Overview

Standingwave's infrastructure is located in two diverse world-class Data Centre facilities in London's Docklands. Our data centres meet the high security and protection demands of any Internet presence. Our Data Centres have redundant systems for connectivity, electrical power, air conditioning and fire suppression to ensure that your Internet presence is always available. The Data Centres are monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 365 days per year. All staff are committed and trained to provide you with continual, high-level network monitoring and load management of your connection. In addition, there is engineering support for outage response and network performance analysis.

Power & Air Conditioning

Right from the start, the power supplies were designed with several criteria in mind: very high capacity, stability, reliability and scope for easy expansion. The facility has a 2-Megawatt power supply - that's enough power to light up London's Wembley Stadium ten times over (if it was still there). Backing that up are dedicated Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems plus two further diverse mains supplies (scalable for future growth) with circuit breaker protection, and an on-site generator in the unlikely event of long-term power outages.

Fire & Security

Security is obviously an essential consideration for our customers housing their precious data externally. We have a high-security system that includes 24 x 7 monitoring by on-site personnel, video camera surveillance and a security breach alarm. Access to the Internet data centre is by card key, and each instance of opening of StandingWaves areas is logged by time and date.
